Cigna Data Nuances

Cigna often posts their data by putting NPI-Type-2 (group NPI) values in the NPI List field. This means that there is no way to identify NPI-Type-1's (individual practitioners) within each row of data. The NPI List Length is usually 1 for each row.
Many inpatient and outpatient facility charges will show up under the code CSTM-00. This is typically a percent of charges arrangement with the note "Inpatient/outpatient services not otherwise priced." In our Signal platform, we have imputed this CSTM-00 record to all relevant codes for each entity, so that you will see the percent of charges arrangement when searching through Cigna's rates.
