How can we report inaccuracies?
First, please confirm the rate is indeed inaccurate by controlling for the following variables:
– Please compare the posted reimbursement rate to a contracted fee schedule. Comparing to a paid claim may only include the insurance’s portion of the fee (vs. the full cost of care).
– Please ensure the comparison is apples-to-apples in terms of the right version of the fee schedule, the right code, the right EIN, place-of-service, taxonomy, etc.
